HR

The Global Centre HR delivers high quality HR services to European countries. Services are rendered in close collaboration with the GSS HR Regional Centres within Europe, together developing the Global Shared Service HR function for DNV GL.

HR Operations

HR Operations is the first point of HR contact for DNV GL employees and managers across Europe. The team support colleagues via email and phone, but also drives HR processes from on- to offboarding. Team's tasks also include HR administration and system maintenance connected to employment, benefits & compensation management as well as internal trainings coordination.

Payroll

Payroll Section is split into 2 teams: European Payroll and Advisory and Payroll Poland.
  
Payroll team is mainly responsible for day-to-day quality service within Payroll according to legal and company requirements, including:

  • Collecting, analyzing and managing the data flow between the company and a payroll vendor (Polish payroll performed fully in-house),
  • Analyzing country-specific allowances and absences,
  • Managing full employee lifecycle (new hire, transfer, termination),
  • Maintaining time and attendance data,
  • Evaluating current systems, developing and recommending policies and procedures.

Service Delivery Management & Intranet Services

Service Delivery Management team is responsible for global support of GSS HR operations, including performance reporting & analytics, project management, continuous improvement & automation of processes.

Our Intranet Services team supports intranet and procedure publication processes: publishing news, intranet pages, as well as procedure & intranet maintenance.

Global Mobility

The team is responsible for delivering Global Mobility services across DNV GL organization globally and acts as first point of contact for assignees providing them with support throughout the assignment lifecycle. The team members collaborate with both internal stakeholders and our third-party vendors ensuring they are providing high-quality and efficient support.

Recruitment

GSS Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Section drives all recruitment activities within DNV GL Business Areas in more than 26 countries, mostly Europe.
Our professionals are actively identifying talents across regions, conducting and setting up interviews, market intelligence as well as collaborating with local agencies and partnering with Managers to support growing business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation & Benefits is a central, newly established team responsible for European compensation matters in DNV GL, including salary adjustment, profit share and various country-specific benefits. The team supports global processes and provides analytical services to the DNV GL Organization, as well as concludes workforce compensation processes, incl. documentation for European countries.

The team members cooperate with colleagues in various European countries, senior managers in the business areas and other stakeholders, both internally and externally.

IT

Global Shared Services IT is the DNV GL IT organization responsible for delivering a wide range of IT capabilities and capacities to business and corporate units and end-users worldwide. GSS IT with nearly 400 employees worldwide is the internal service provider for IT support globally in DNV GL and has a key role in system evaluation, development, and integration.

Global Service Desk

GSD is a first line of defence for technical support for DNV GL employees across the globe. If something is not working on DNV GL computer, it is practically certain that the employees will contact GSD Team either via telephone or email.

HR IT Process Support

HR IT Process Support team is the first line of support regarding HR applications or organizational setup within DNV GL. The team is the bridge between the HR and IT ensuring proper collaboration.

Finance Applications Services

Daily Operations team is responsible for stable operations in Oracle Finance.
Service Requests team supports DNV GL employees with regards to our Finance systems and works on automation with robots, web forms and new programs.
Service Excellence team supports Super Users with network and knowledge base as well as helps with defining key processes in Finance Applications.

Maritime Applications Support

Maritime Applications Support is the 2nd line of support for both internal and external customers when it comes to Maritime applications. Their global virtual team is split into teams located in Oslo, Gdynia and Shanghai. Maritime Applications Support Team   works closely with software development team, other IT teams and business areas to conduct testing and adjustments of our tools against source system and platform upgrades.

Data Centre Services

The Data Centre Services team provides support in monitoring, development and operations for both cloud-based and on-premise solutions. In addition, we perform monthly maintenance with security patching and maintain infrastructure, server hardware as well as data backup and restore. The team is located in Gdynia, provides support globally, and consists of different roles.

Integration, MDM and RPA

Our team is responsible for developing and operating of Hybrid Integration Platform, Masterdata Managament, as well as introducing and maintaining Robotics Process Automation.
We integrate DNV GL systems, take care about relevancy and consistency of the Company customers’ data and support automation of the business processes.

Business Intelligence Competency Centre

The team develops reports, dashboard and data warehouse to create business value from company data, as well as supports (2nd and 3rd line) and maintains multiple data warehouse systems and reporting services (Vadis).

Finance

DNV GL Global Centre Finance Gdynia, delivers high quality services to European countries, related to Record to Report process, Accounts Payable and Receivable. Services are rendered in close collaboration with Regional Centres, together developing the Global Shared Service Finance function for DNV GL.

Accounts Receivable

Accounts Receivable Section is split into four teams: Cash Allocation Team, AR Regional Teams, Cash Management and Master Data Management.
AR Team is responsible for allocating incoming and outgoing cash and reconciling bank statements, account reconciliations & reporting, queries management, customer and supplier accounts, monitoring and controlling automated Group Cash Pooling.

Accounts Payable

Accounts Payable section is a team of experts responsible for processing invoices, Travels and Expenses, weekly payment of vendors and employees, reconciling Accounts Payable statements, subledger to general ledger and other Month end close activities. We also cooperate closely with other GSS Finance teams.

Record to Report

Record to Report Section works within two areas: R2R Regional Teams, Intercompany Team.
R2R Regional Teams service European DNV GL countries mainly within GL accounting and reporting, BS account reconciliations, VAT reporting, financial analysis, internal and external audits.
Intercompany Team is responsible for both intercompany reconciliations, as well as reconciling issues solving and reporting. Whole R2R Team is engaged in process standardization, automation and robotics.

Chief Accountants/Accounting Controllers and Corporate Specialists

Chief Accountants/Accounting Controllers and Corporate Specialists is a team providing specialized services to the DNV GL countries in Europe, mainly regarding Accounting and Legal Compliance with both Group and Statutory Regulations, as well as work in close cooperation with GSS Finance Teams in order to ensure the financial data gives true and fair view.

VAT team

VAT team provides services to the DNV GL countries in Europe, regarding preparation and submission of VAT returns and related filings. The team works in close cooperation with Regional Tax Managers, Global Process Owner and  GSS Finance Teams in order to ensure the compliant and timely VAT filings.

Real Estate Management
